"Ejbike Mame" an evening with Yiddish songs hosted by Małgorzata Sporek-Czyżewska

"Ejbike Mame” - concert of songs from the pre-war Yiddish theatres and cabarets, performed by Małogrzata Sporek-Czyżewska and the Klezmer Orchestra.

The programme of “Ejbike mame” is a rendition of the rich musical tradition of Yiddish theatre form the beginning of the 20th century. It consisted of Yiddish songs (mame-loszn means mother tongue) which sounded the same in the small theatres and cafes of Warsaw, Vilnius, Paris, Buenos Aires and New York. The group: Małogrzata Sporek-Czyżewska – singer, leader of the group Wojciech Szrieder on accordion, Michał Moniuszko – mandolin, harmonium, Kacper Szroeder – trumpet, Dominka Korzeniecka – drums, Mateusz Sznejkowski - trombone, Maciej Popiel – saxophone.
