The main thought of the article is how the world has changed one year after 24/2. We witness the brutality of the invaders. Also, we notice that Ukraine has withstood the Russian onslaught and that Europe has remained united in suporting Ukraine
A substantial part of the article is devoted to the issue of culture. Krzysztof Czyżewski, asked to comment on the war from his unique borderland perspective, has provided the editor with the English translation of his poem written after the outbreak of the war.
