Neighbours. The Film Collection of Borderland Tales is a series of several animated films about the tradition of the multicultural neighbourhood of the Sejny region.
The founding mother of the project is Bożena Szroeder. The animated films tell the stories about different communities such as the Jews, Roma, Old Orthodox Russians, Lithuanians and Poles. The films have been presented in many festivals all over the world.
During the Singer festival the audience could see some of the films selected in the way that they told a concise story about the Sejny region. The presentation was preceded by the foreword of Dominika Ludwig who is an art historian and who has cooperated with the Centre of Yiddish Culture in Warsaw and the Borderland Foundation.
