Culture beyond Entertainment
European Cultural Parliament session in Genoa About 50 well-known artists and cultural personalities from 30 countries participated in the third ECP session in Palazzo Ducale, Genoa (European cultural capitol in 2004), December, 3-5 2004 (the first and second sessions were held in Bruges 2002 and Graz 2003). They discussed the role of culture and arts as a moral voice in Europe. The main theme of of the session was "Culture beyond Entertainment".
The Borderland director became ECP member in 2003. Krzysztof Czyżewski delivered a speech Active Culture: Buildung - Long duree - Agora. Except for the speeches of other parliament members there was an "Artists Rights" workshop and discussion "Nomadic University on Arts and Business". The parliament made also a statement about the Ukraine and its fight for freedom.
