The Borderland is proud to announce another edition of the Mystery of the Bridge annual performance. This year’s edition, called “A tear-boat” (“Łódź-łza”) will take place in the space of the Invisible Bridge.

The Borderland would like to invite you to take part in the summer program in Sejny and Krasnogruda. The program will be taking place in July and August.

The Borderland is proud to host the exhibition prepared by Gabriela Bulisova and Mark Isaac. The Landscape of our Memory will be open for on June 26, 2024 at 18.00 in the White Synagogue, Sejny.

Krzysztof Czyżewski has recently taken part in two important events in Belgrade and Subotica. The hosts of these events have been struggling to build bridges of mutual understanding for a very long time.

Another Silesian visit is over! When we went to Katowice a year before we thought that a few-long-day stay would help us tell the story of the borderland of Upper Silesia and enable us to understand just a bit of the complex history of this particular land. Ad, as it usually happens, the visit hasn’t clarified anything and turned out to be merely the beginning which lets us touch and draw the map and mark the places of future excavations.

The international conference "Disputed Territories and Memory: Pathways to Agonism" took place

on September 28-30, 2023. This conference was a final event of the five-year-long international

Disputed Territories and Memory (DisTerrMem) program, and was hosted by the Borderland

Foundation in partnership with the Institute of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in Kaunas.

The Borderland is happy to announce the new book release by Krzysztof Czyżewski.

Over the years, the Borderland Foundation has been committed to programs integrating Ukrainians and Ukrainian culture into broader world conversations: through guest fellowships, workshops, an annual summer school, art, and music.  During this war we have expanded our role to invite and host Ukrainians, not only in our own region, but with the help of partners, throughout Poland.

As the Borderland Foundation team we would like to express our solidarity and support for Ukraine today.

Beyond Borders Academy is a joint initiative of four organizations: The Kosciuszko Foundation, Borderland Foundation, Folkowisko Association, and the School for Leaders Foundation. Its goal is to prepare an active community of young people from Ukraine, Belarus and Poland to build relations and form new opportunities for cooperation in Central and Eastern Europe.
