From 13-23 August, 2015, Krasnogruda will become a venue for the Village of Bridge Builders - a place of intercultural dialogue, that apart from the realm of ideas will contribute practical, physical realizations of the philosophy that has been created over the years on the Polish-Lithuanian and other borderlands around the world.
At niebywalesuwalki.pl you can learn about the bridge builders involved in the action, about the idea, the symbolism of the bridge and the spatial installation. The narrator is Krzysztof Czyżewski of Sejny "Borderland" - practitioner of idea, director, animator, writer, chairman of the Eastern Partnership Culture Congress, winner of many awards including Dan David Prize in the "Past" category and of the Irena Sendler Prize awarded by the Taube Foundation.

Monka Żmijewska writes about the planned for August Village of Bridge Builders, in "Gazeta Wyborcza. Białystok”, July 14:
"But it will not be an ordinary bridge - a semi-artistic, full of signs and symbols that you will need to be able to read to discover its mystery. But, before the bridge is erected, they will populate the Village Bridge Builders. In this way, fulfilled will be the old dream of the man who, together with his team, has been building symbolic builds bridges across various borderlines of the world for a quarter of a century... ”
