The book Miłosz. A Connective Tissue

The book Miłosz. A Connective Tissue is first of all an intimate record of the author's long-standing friendship with Czesław Miłosz, his master.

The world première of the book that took place on the 14 August 2014 at the International Centre for Dialogue and coincided with the 10th anniversary of Miłosz's death. "There was only one thing Czesław Miłosz seemed to care about during his talks with young artists: for their ideas not to turn out a utopian pipe dream that would be dispelled fast under the pressure of life vicissitudes, and for them to be permanently accepted by this place near Krasnogruda. He would systematically bring them back to earth and the concept of "Borderland" itself to the dimension of everyday practice that gains credibility not through quick eye-catching results but through its continuity." K. Czyżewski The connective tissue is a new symbol allowing borderland animators to describe the texture of their subject matter, the most important tissue of a living organism/community. One that binds other tissues acting as the life-giving fibre of connection. "Seen through a telescope aimed at the Earth or Sky, the tissue resembles a constellation, society, or community. We can see only its cells: stars, continents, states and people". K. Czyżewski
