Zygmunt Bauman is a professor emeritus of Sociology at the University of Leeds, England. One of the most prominent theoreticians of postmodernity, Zygmunt Bauman has written extensively on different aspects of the present, including culture, politics, ethics, morality, freedom and many others. His latest publications in English include Liquid Times (2006) and Consuming Life (2007).
