April and May are the time of continuation of two very important programs dedicated to children - the Little Center of the World - for children from elementary school - and Small Discoverers of Sejny for pre-school children.

The Little Center of the World is an annual artistic program concerning neighbourhood traditions of Sejny and its multicultural heritage.  120-person group of 4th grade pupils will participate in sound, music, film and art workshops and  lectures; they will take part in trips and presentations: they will learn about the culture and history of the present and past inhabitants of the region: Lithuanians, Old Believers, Jews, Roma and Poles. April will be the month we are going to explore the world of the Russian Old Believers - we will hear the story of Patriarch Nikon's reform and its consequences, and about icon painting. We will meet old women, Old Believers who will teach us Russian songs and dances.  May will be the month of travelling across the former Jewish Sejny learning about the religious tradition and about important Jewish figures associated with Sejny, and learning songs in the language used in Sejny before the war - Yiddish. June will be the month of the tale about the Lithuanian and Gypsy inhabitants of Sejny.
