Tales of coexistance. Borderland Festival in Serbia - Sonta

Our Serbian journey is coming to an end. Our last stop together was Sonta, a small town located on the Serbian-Croatian border.

We arrived there straight from Sremski Karlovci, and were greeted by an international group of young people who were part of a theater festival currently taking place in Sonta. In the auditorium of the Cultural and Educational Center, young people from Sejny presented the story of their town's multicultural history to the residents of Sonta and festival guests. and right after the performance, we all moved outside to the square adjacent to the auditorium to enjoy the sounds of the Sejny Theater Klezmer Orchestra. Despite the exceptional heat, everyone started dancing. It was a beautiful ending to our ten-day journey together! Although most of our team has already returned to Sejny, some of us are preparing for the last event of the Borderland Festival in Serbia. Today, at 8 p.m. at Centar za kulturnu dekontaminaciju in Belgrade, there will be a poetry evening called Cafe Europa, to which we cordially invite you!
