YOUTH RISE โ€“ Reduce anxiety, Improve literacy, Strengthen resilience, Engage in action

The Borderland Foundation is a partner in the Erasmus+ KA210 project YOUTH RISE โ€“ Reduce anxiety, Improve literacy, Strengthen resilience, Engage in action, led by the Novi Sad Environmental Movement (https://pokretgorana.org.rs/) in cooperation with the Eko Brezna Association (Croatia) (https://ekobrezna.hr). The project runs from September 1, 2025, to November 30, 2026, and its total value is โ‚ฌ60,000.

The aim of the project is to enable young people to improve their knowledge about climate, strengthen resilience, reduce climate anxiety, and actively participate in addressing climate challenges. Through an innovative, holistic approach combining science, play, art, and experiential learning, we aim to bring topics closer to young people that often seem too difficult, abstract, or distant.

The project will contribute to the development of innovative approaches to youth climate education, increase their motivation and participation in socially beneficial activities, and strengthen the capacity of all partner organizations.

Planned activities include:

  • a study titled โ€œClimate emotions โ€“ how climate change also changes us,โ€
  • the development of an innovative climate education methodology and strengthening the capacity of those working with youth,
  • pilot workshops and a youth camp,
  • the creation of a climate game and a mobile application,
  • the launch of an online platform โ€œLetโ€™s Talk About Climate!โ€,
  • an exhibition of young peopleโ€™s works on climate and climate change.
