Guests from Macedonia.

The label of LOJA

The Borderland is happy to have hosted a group of activists and professors from the University of West Macedonia.

The visit was a part of the long-term project “Reinforcing multicultural work with the youth in academic curricula for the future teachers”. The project is implemented by LOJA (The Centre of Balkan Cooperation) and KURVE WUstrow which is a German Centre of Education and Establishing Webs in Acting without Violence.

The project is also supported by the Civil Service for Peace (Ziviler Friedensdienst) and it has lasted since 2002 with the cooperation of the German government. It is devoted to the teachers. Its main focus is multicultural education that would make it possible for civil society and international institutions to establish peace and reconciliation which are needed in northern Macedonia tormented by the conflict.
The stay of the guests included talks with the Borderland’s educators who presented their practices and the results of their work.
