Facing the War is the series that presents contemporary poetry from Ukraine. It was launched a year ago. The Borderland wishes to continue all the possible efforts to be with the Ukrainians and the Ukrainian culture.
Krzysztof Czyżewski wrote a short comment about these books a few days ago: ‘’The language of Ukrainian poetry of our times has become exceptionally mature about the way it speaks and thinks. There are no empty words here, no weak poems, no cheap agitation, no sentimentality. This poetry in its depth and courage does not turn its back on people or lose people’s attention. The Polish translators have managed to keep up with the Ukrainian of this poetry.
This time the books will be available in good bookshops. But as before the release’ s main purpose is to support Ukrainian artists and Ukrainian residents in Krasnogruda.
