Birutė Jonuškaitė, whose two novels were published by the Borderland, took part in a series of meetings with her Polish readers and was also interviewed by Polish Radio 2.
Birutė Jonuškaitė was born on the territory of the Sejny region. She studied in Vilnius and after she graduated, she settled down in Vilnius too.
SHe worked as a journalist. She is an active member of the Association of the Writers of Lithuania. Her fiction was awarded a number of times in Lithuania. Birutė Jonuškaitė is also renowned for her efforts to bring Polish and Lithuanian literature together.
She is considered to be one of the most important contemporary writers of Lithuania.
