The aim of the conference was to have a closer look at the multicultural aspect of the tradition and heritage of the Zakarpattia region. The panelists were supposed to answer the question how to give the impetus to Zakarpattia's development.
Krzysztof Czyżewski took part in one of the panels. The main issue of his speech was multiculturalism, its future and its crisis.
To quote Krzysztof Czyżewski: ''the Western World has a clear idea of what borderlines are, how they separated countries from one another and has lost its sense of multiculturalism.Ukraine can become the source of this cultural tradition in Europe"
