Last year was a very intense and joyful time for The Music of the Place Studio, full of exciting challenges. Among other things, we managed to organize six concerts that brought us great happiness. At the beginning of the year, when we were considering whom we would like to hear and present to the audience from our place, these names came up first: Antonina Nowacka, Marcin Dymiter, Pijus Džiugas Meižis, Aleksandra Słyż, Arturas Bumsteinas, and Teoniki Rożynek. We are very grateful that you brought a piece of your sound world to Sejny. Today, at the end of this year’s concert cycle, we share with you a short film about these events. It contains images and sounds that are now memories, as well as reflections from the artists on the music they brought to Sejny — music that will remain within them. Fragments of these extraordinary concerts have become part of Sejny’s sound map, available under the “Music of the Place” banner in the Echoes app. We warmly invite you to watch!
