The concert inaugurated the project Kwartludium Open Stage for New Music – a nationwide series of moderated contemporary music concerts taking place throughout 2026.
The project was born out of a desire to break down the barrier between new music and a wider audience. Its aim was to bring contemporary sounds closer to listeners, to reveal their diversity and contexts, and to create a space for encounters – with music, artists and the ideas behind the works being presented.
The concert programme featured works written especially for the ensemble by leading Polish and European composers representing a variety of musical aesthetics and languages.
