Yesterday, the Sejny premiere of Kuba Kossak's documentary The Orchestra took place.

The screening marked the opening of our summer concert series at the White Synagogue in Sejny.

The film tells the story of The Klezmer Orchestra of the Sejny Theatre and its lasting impact on the local community.

For the past 30 years, this remarkable musical ensemble has been active in Poland's north-eastern borderland. Through making music together, successive generations of young people have not only developed their artistic talents but have also borne witness to the multicultural identity of the region and the strong sense of local community.

The film explores this unique phenomenon while capturing the extraordinary creative energy that has, for many years, drawn outstanding artists such as Marcin Masecki and Mikołaj Trzaska to the White Synagogue in Sejny.
